Pastor Dr Claudette King
Born in Spanish Town Jamaica, Claudette was raised in church but was an unwilling attendee until the age of 16 when she had her own encounter with God at an Apostolic assembly, called King's Chapel in Montego Bay.
God took her through valley and mountain top experiences until she learned to rely solely and wholly upon Him.
Claudette moved to England in 1997 and settled in the city of Nottingham where she attended Mount Zion Apostolic church. There she continued her studies, and completed a BTEC National Diploma in I.T. as well as a Higher National Diploma in Computer Technology.
However, the call of God was compelling, and this led her to switch disciplines. She soon began her search for a deeper knowledge of the scriptures and of Jesus Christ, which led her to enrol on a Bachelors Degree in Theology after which she continued with her Masters. She completed her scholastic endeavours in 2010, graduating Summa Cum Laude, with a Ph.D. in Christian Education.
While studying, Claudette taught Sunday school and bible classes in her local church. She was also part of the Praise and Worship Team, and was employed as the executive secretary of the church.
Dr King completed the organisation's required ministerial course and was soon appointed as a Minister by Bishop Lloyd Thomas, her Overseer. She was later awarded her licence as an evangelist and sent to pastor in Kent by Diocesan Bishop C. Wayne Brantley, in agreement with her Overseer Bishop Thomas.
After much praying and seeking the direction of God, Claudette and her husband John agreed to follow the call of God, and relocated to Ashford, where they soon settled and started a ministry in a nearby village called Newchurch, where they worshipped for 20 months. God later moved the ministry into the heart of Ashford.
Dr King is an anointed teacher and preacher, as well as a seminar presenter. Her preaching and teaching is presented with authority, passion, revelation and clarity, deep yet simple enough to understand. Dr King is a straight talking teacher who is not afraid to challenge your thinking. The weight of purpose and anointing on her life is evident through her delivery.
Dr King won the 2016 R.E.E.B.A. Author Of The Year award, and has written eleven books, including the much anticipated Where Only Eagles Dare, the controversial Genderless Anointing: There's Neither Male nor Female, the Order in the Church series and the revelatory What is Faith?
Claudette is inspiring, impacting and easy to talk to, down to earth and always ready to provide an answer to help bring clarity and revelation.
Her burden is for the saints to experience a real relationship with God, that pushes them to seek His face, so that the eyes of their understanding will be enlightened, that they may know what is the hope of His calling. It is her belief that God indeed had a hope He desired each of us to fulfil when He called us.
Claudette is married to John King, her husband of nineteen years and they share two wonderful sons.
